The election of Barack Obama had a somewhat
more profound effect on me than I would have expected.
His campaign and the fact that he won made me
actually (ahem) hope for the first time in a long while.
I decided that to celebrate the moment I would finally get around to
transcribing a couple of political rants with which
I've bored people for years.
I never thought that these things were remotely possible,
but we're suddenly and unexpectedly entering a time of change,
perhaps on a scale we haven't seen for a long while.
It seemed like a good time to finally write up my ideas and
post them for the interweb's amusement.
I intend these as no more than beginnings for dialog.
Nor do I require any type of credit, even in the unlikely event
that these ravings represent something out of the ordinary.
Just take any of them seriously for a moment and I will be well pleased.
